HOXIE, AR-- A two-train collision, killed two people, injured two others, and forced evacuations in Lawrence county over the weekend.

It happened in the community of Hoxie overnight Sunday, near Highway 67, south of Highway 63.

According to Arkansas State Police, two Union Pacific freight trains carrying hazardous materials, crashed into each other at about 3:00 a.m. Sunday.

About 500 people living near the area were evacuated as a precaution.

Meanwhile, the NTSB is trying to figure out exactly what caused the two trains to collide.
