AHTD Needs Input for Survey to Improve Walking, Biking Options

ARKANSAS -- For the first time in 16 years, Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) making big changes to their existing plan for biking and walking options around the state - and they need your help.

The new plan will establish a framework for planning, developing and building safe and usable facilities for bicyclers and pedestrians. They will also make changes to be in line with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s 2010 Policy Statement on Bicycle and Pedestrian Accommodation Regulations and Recommendations.

You can fill out this questionnaire, which asks about existing conditions for walking and biking, which includes questions about the built environment (trails, sidewalks, and roadways) as well as opinions and attitudes towards walking and biking in general. It takes about 15 minutes to complete.
