The B.U.S. safety awareness campaign is an effort to remind drivers to use caution when around school buses.
It's also an effort to reinforce the fact that it is illegal to pass a stopped school bus when its red lights are flashing and students are getting on or off the bus.
In Arkansas, a fleet of more than 6,000 school buses transport over a quarter of a million students to and from school and school-related activities each school day.
The B.U.S. safety awareness campaign runs through August 29th. For more information, click here.
