Fort Chaffee Historical Building Gets Second Life, New Business

FORT SMITH -- A building with an old soul will be the home of Chaffee Crossings first restaurant.

The historic Maness School House is being transformed into a new Red Rooster Bistro. The old school house is located at the corner of Massard and Wells Lake Road right across from the new Fire Department.

This is the first eatery at Chaffee Crossing though a mexican restaurant also announced plans for a location nearby.

It is expected to be completed within a years time and seat up to one hundred and twenty people to include outdoor seating as well.
