FORT SMITH -- The Fort Smith Adult Education Center will have a meeting to educated the public on the new GED testing system.

The new online testing comes with a $120 price tag, but with grants from Arkansas’ Rainy Day fund it knocks the price down to just $16 a person and two local organizations Gerdau and United Steelworkers Local have donated to cover that remaining cost.

"We are trying to get rid of some misconceptions that are out there about the new online GED and make sure that individuals who may have not gotten their high school degree know they have an opportunity to get their GED for free.’ Advisor Nichelle Christian explained.
