MAUMELLE AR-We continue to hear new survival stories from the aftermath of Arkansas' devastating storms. And one animal rescue group is working to help a pup named Hope to recover. The dog was found under debris in Mayflower. The four-month-old mixed breed had a broken leg and pelvis and went blind in one eye. But, thanks to intensive rehab, including swim therapy, she's able to use her leg and is expected to fully recover.

"She's come a long way. At first she didn't want to be touched, she drooled just by people looking at her, she would hide, and you can see now just by standing around that she will actually come up and approach people," says Kristy Davis, with Maumelle Friends of Animals.

Hope is believed to be a stray. She has one more surgery scheduled for her eye, and more therapy to follow. After that, if her original owner isn't found, Maumelle Friends of Animals will find her a new home.
