FRANKLIN COUNTY -- Recent rains caused campers on the Mulberry River to be evacuated.

The Franklin County Sheriff said rains on Sunday caused the Mulberry to rise almost thirteen feet, so campers were asked to leave campgrounds as a safety precaution. Officials said the Mulberry rises fast when it rains, but quickly stabilizes when the rain stops.
