WASHINGTON COUNTY, AR-- Washington county is preparing its poll workers ahead of election season. On Monday, about 50 poll workers gathered at the Washington County Sheriff's Office to learn about this year's new election laws and procedures. Among them is the new voter I.D. law. It requires every voter to have identification before they cast their ballot. Training like this happens every year but this is the first year election laws require every poll worker to receive training. The three-hour training sessions last all week, with the largest turnout expected on Tuesday. Workers will be learning how to set up polls and process votes.
