Pryor's 'Made in America' Tour Stops in NWA

ROGERS, AR-- U.S. Senator Mark Pryor is taking his new jobs push to Northwest Arkansas.

On Wednesday afternoon, he visited Redman and Associates, a toy company in Rogers.

The stop was part of his 'Made in America' tour.

Pryor wants to stop giving American companies tax breaks when they move jobs overseas.

The push also offers big companies and small businesses federal grants and tax credits to encourage them to come back home.

"One of the things we should be doing in Washington is sending signals to the U.S. economy and the global economy," says Pryor.

"That it's okay to invest here and if we want to do things like help our budget deficit, if we want to do things like get people off of unemployment, what we can do is have the private sector create manufacturing jobs."

Pryor says if we can have a resurgence of manufacturing,it's a win-win for America.

On Thursday, Pryor will once again stop at Redman and Associates to talk to Northwest Arkansas-based manufacturers, business, and community leaders about the importance of supporting American manufacturing.

Meanwhile, U.S. Senate candidate Tom Cotton is also on the campaign trail, stopping in Texarkana this week.

He met with supporters at a restaurant in that area.

It's part of his 'Arkansas First" statewide tour.

Cotton says he'll continue to tour Arkansas all the way up to the November election.
