Arrowhead Boat sales is making it happen.
The company is putting on its first ever wake-surf competiton at Beaver Lake on Saturday.
On Friday, surfers from all over the mid-south were out testing the water.
To simulate ocean waves, a special device is attached to the back of a boat.
"We just want people to see that and experience it and a lot of people don't necessarily know what you can do behind a boat and the new technology is really neat." says Cory Ziehe, with Arrowhead Boat Sales."
The wake board competition will kick things of at the Prarie Creek Pavillion on Saturday.
There's $3,000 in prizes up for grabs for the top wave riders.
