LITTLE ROCK, AR-- KNWA is your local election headquarters. And the latest election news is coming from the Mike Ross campaign. The Arkansas Democratic gubernatorial candidate picked up an endorsement on Saturday on the steps of the State Capitol. The Arkansas Education Association officially threw its support behind Ross. The teachers union cited Ross' support for early childhood development and after school programs as reasons for the endorsement. During a short speech, Ross had some choice words for his likely Republican opponent Asa Hutchinson. A press release sent by the Hutchinson campaign before the endorsement event says the teachers union endorsement shows Ross is out of touch with Arkansans.
