AROUND ARKANSAS-- State police, along with the Highway and Transportation Department, are behind a new traffic safety initiative announced Tuesday. It's part of a major state-wide safety campaign called "Toward Zero Deaths." The number of deadly car accidents in Arkansas is above the national average. So several law enforcement and health agencies are coming together to promote safety on the roads. The feds are funding the project and it's aimed at educating more people about traffic safety and bettering emergency response time.
