NEAR MENA, AR--A civil air patrol plane found the plane of missing forestry pilot Jake Harrell in an area outside of Glenwood on Tuesday, February 11th. The Arkansas Forestry Commission confirmed Harrell has been found dead. Harrell's plane was located earlier Tuesday and ground crews were deployed to the location of the crash. Harrell went missing two weeks ago while looking for forest fires in the Oden area. Two rounds of winter weather since then hampered the search. Harrell last checked in with his communications center just after 1:00 pm two Fridays ago. Search leaders assume he went down but exactly what happened remains unknown. The 34 year old leaves behind a wife and son.
