Walmart Offers Cash, Food, Supplies to Storm Victims

BENTONVILLE, AR-- The World's Largest Retailer is offering aid central Arkansas storm victims with a $250,000 pledge of cash, food and supplies.

Walmart Foundation president Kathleen McLaughlin says in a statement, "It saddens us to know that so many of the communities our associates and customers call home are impacted by these tornadoes and floods. Our heartfelt thoughts go out to all those affected."

Walmart and the Walmart Foundation are working closely with the Salvation Army and American Red Cross to assess the needs of those impacted and monitor further ways to help.

In addition to monetary contributions, the company and Foundation donations include critical supplies like water, food and shelter supplies to organizations providing disaster relief in the affected areas.
