LITTLE ROCK, AR - A large pig had to be hog-tied by state police officers and others who helped corral it after the animal ran loose along Interstate 30 Thursday morning.
It happened around 9 a.m. on the southwest side of town not far from the 65th St. exit, stopping traffic in both directions. The animal reportedly first got on the interstate on the eastbound side, darting across all three lanes before jumping the median and continuing its run in the westbound lanes.
Several people tried to catch the pig, and some state troopers in their patrol cars tried to help by closing in on the animal until it was finally tackled to the ground. It's not yet known what happened to the pig after its capture or where it came from.
The attached video was recorded by James Leigh and Trish Watts, who shared it on Facebook as they watched the capture.
