Bill Allowing Access to Oral Anti-Cancer Treatments Signed into Law

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- -

HB1592 has been signed into law by Governor Asa Hutchinson, according to the Susan G. Komen Ozark affiliate.

The bill, now Act 543, requires parity in health benefit coverage between rally administered anti-cancer medications and IV administered anti-cancer medications. The bill was sponsored by Rep. Greg Leding.

Komen Ozark has been an advocate for access to oral anti-cancer treatments for Arkansans with cancer.

With the passing of the bill, Arkansas joins 42 others states and the District of Columbia in giving cancer patients access to oral cancer treatments.
