Cooking Today: Just Desserts Rocky Road Popcorn Balls

Try this twist next time you make popcorn balls for a chocolately treat!

Recipe: Rocky Road Popcorn Balls                                                                             

Ingredients

-6 cups popcorn, unbuttered

-2 cups M&M’s Milk Chocolate Candies

-1 3/4 cups Peanuts

-2 tablespoons unsalted butter

-4 cups miniature marshmallows

 

Recipe

  1. In a saucepan over low heat, combine butter and marshmallows until melted. Stir often.

  2. In a large bowl, combine popcorn, 1 1/2 cups M&M’s Milk Chocolate Candies and peanuts. (Place remaining 1/2 cup M&M’s Milk Chocolate Candies in a bowl and set aside.)

  3. Pour marshmallow mixture over popcorn mixture until well coated.

  4. Coat hands in butter and form popcorn balls, and roll in remaining M&M’s Milk Chocolate Candies.

     

    Recipe makes about 12 popcorn balls.
