Dig 4 Diabetes is an annual charity sand volleyball tournament that began in 2009.  Created by the Paulk Family in Northwest Arkansas; consisting of Eric & Becky Paulk and Ryan & Jennifer Paulk.  Eric and Ryan, identical twins, diagnosed almost 15 years apart, both live with Type 1 Diabetes and have a love for playing and teaching volleyball.  They participate in the North West Arkansas volleyball circuit, as they are involved in many of the sand and indoor leagues in Bentonville and Rogers AR.  In addition both have coached Club Net, which is Junior Olympic Volleyball Club and are members of the Delta Region of USA Volleyball.

Dig 4 Diabetes began in the summer of 2009 as Becky and Jennifer (being the awesome, supportive spouses that they are) spent endless hours in the sun watching their husbands play in many of the sand tournaments in North West Arkansas.  That summer they also decided to participate in the American Diabetes Association Tour de Cure, and were thinking of creative ways to raise money for this important cause.

And, so the adventure began and Dig 4 Diabetes was born, combining the boy's love of volleyball and the girls support.

Over 25 million people in the United States live every day with diabetes, and all efforts put us closer to finding a cure!  All proceeds from the events are donated to the Northwest Arkansas American Diabetes Association, where these funds are used for diabetes research, advocacy and educational programs in the local community.
