What started as baby-sitting over 30 years ago, is now anything but for the Rogers Activity Center.
The nonprofit offers day camp during the summer and after school programs during the school year.
Marleen Heyns, with the center, said, " It's very rewarding to work with kids and see them develop. We area always trying to do extra so that when they go back to school they don't have to play catch up."
Another way the organization helps out is by offering meals to kiddos during the summer.
"A lot of kids don't eat when school is not in session and a lot forget about that," said Wendy Jones of the center.
Organizers say the center is more than just a daycare or a gym, it's a place helping youth in our community.
Heyns said, "We all put in long days here it happen, but when you go home it's worth every minute that you spend."
