"We didn't want to skip over downtown Springdale," Sherrod said.

Downtown Springdale is finding its shine.

"With the Greenway and the downtown revitalization, every city in our region has their own strong points and uniqueness," Sprouse said.

Mayor Doug Sprouse said Sprindale is the fourth largest city in the state, and is working its way up.
For that, he's thanking young folks like Jordan Sherrod with Northwest Arkansas Fashion Week.

"I think it's been the missing ingredient for a long time through many previous efforts to revitalize downtown," Sprouse said.

The show's launch party event made a stop in Springdale for the first time on Wednesday to fancy fashion and success.

"There's a lot of good things happening in downtown Springdale so we really wanted to showcase places like Fairlane station," Sherrod said.

In the middle of an area booming with new projects, Sprouse said it's just what the city needs.

Sprouse said, "To be able to take an event like this and bring those together where all our communities get to participate, and make it a greater success for the whole region... I think it's super."

Sherrod said, "get people into downtown and get excited about what's happening here."
