BENTONVILLE, AR -- The Road to Essence Festival will be making a stop in Bentonville for a free community concert.

For the second year in a row, Bentonville's Tiger Stadium will host family-fun event where several talented artists will take to the stage.

The lineup so far includes Grammy-award winning singer Chrisette Michele, jazz singer Chante Moore, the hip-hop musical group Bell Biv Devoe and rapper MC Lyte.

"Where else can you have a free concert with five different performers, more to be added and enjoy it all with your family? So come on out and make sure that you support this event. It's free and we want it to come back again," said Sharonda L. Britton, Walmart Director of Media Integrations & Strategic Partnerships.

Walmart is helping bring a bit of the known New Orleans Essence Festival to Northwest Arkansas and say it is important for them to continue to celebrate the diversity in our community.

Artists Chrisette Michele, Chante Moore, BBD (Bell Biv DeVoe) and celebrity host MC Lyte will be performing at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 31 at Tiger Stadium, the Bentonville High School football field.

The event is open to the public and free of charge. The doors open at 5:30 p.m.
