All weekend, folks have been gathering at the Civil War Battlefield Park to check out handmade arts and crafts. The fair is going on through Monday, September 2, and that is when the biggest square dancing event this side of the Mississippi will start hopping.
The yearly event is sponsored by the Prairie Grove Lions Club and they are hoping several people come out to show support.
"It's a chance for all of us to get together and work for a common cause and that is raising money for those in need," said Mark Engle, President of Prairie Grove Lions Club.
Admission is free, but funds from all sales is kept within the community of Prairie Grove and Washington County. The Lions Club helps support local schools and provides eye exams and eye glasses for those in need.
