BRYANT, AR -- Two teenagers are in custody and will be charged as adults after police say they held a woman at gunpoint inside her home, tied her up and robbed her.

But June Dennis, the 82-year-old victim, says she fought back and never feared for her life.

"I said, 'You've never dealt with an 82-year old woman that's got a lot of spunk have you?'" Dennis laughed. "I started hitting him with my cane and he said, 'Get away from me.' I really wasn't scared."

It happened around 11 this morning on Laverne St. near Laura Drive.

Police say the two boys knocked on the door and Dennis let them into her home. She was not harmed.

Dennis told police the suspects had asked her if she had any yard work for them. When she said no, one of the two asked to use a phone. When she gave them her phone, the boy then asked to use the bathroom.

At that point, the other boy then forced his way into Dennis' home using a gun.

The suspects then taped her to a chair and put a makeshift gag in her mouth.

The boys told Dennis they would not hurt her, but that they were there to rob her.

The suspects left in her car.

Dennis was able to get herself free and call for help.

The boys were taken into custody near the Indian Springs Baptist Church about 30 minutes later.

Both suspects are minors. The black male (16) of Bryant and the white male (17) of Bigelow, were brought to the Bryant PD for questioning.

After speaking with juvenile officers, both subjects are being charged as adults with the following:

Aggravated Kidnapping (Class Y Felony)

Aggravated Robbery (Class Y Felony)

Theft of Property (Class C Felony)
