WASHINGTON COUNTY, AR--The woman accused of posing as a country singer to trick a Fayetteville man out of big money, is paying a big price for the crime. Police arrested Peggy Sue Evers earlier last year after they say she told a local man that she was Alison Krauss in order to access his bank account, the deed to his house, and even his will. The two got married and police say she duped him out of about $300,00. Evers pleaded guilty to theft by deception on Thursday. She's been sentenced to eight years probation and ordered to pay $73,000 in restitution to the victim and sign the deed to his house back over to him.
