According to a statement from the school, some bus routes will not be able to run Wednesday afternoon. So the school is offering up shelter for stranded students overnight.
"We have determined that roads in some parts of Alma School District continue to be unsafe for the operation of school buses. Where it is safe to do so, we will run buses at the normal time," the school wrote on their Facebook page. "All parents may pick up their children at any time, including into the evening. Any students that cannot be picked up may remain at school overnight. They will be safe, warm, fed, and supervised."
The school will run bus routes K, N, Q, R, S, T, U, and P.
The district's assistant superintendent says they don't anticipate any kids will need to stay but wanted to assure parents of this option.
