Alternative Gift Market Sparks Gift-Giving Season

FAYETTEVILLE, AR -- All area non-profts gathered under one roof for folks to make donations in honor of others.
Celebrating true holiday spirit, through the gift of giving.

Saint Paul's Episcopal Church in Fayetteville held its 11th annual 'Alternative Gift Market' Sunday afternoon.

Non-profit organizations from all across northwest Arkansas gathered under one roof , allowing people to donate to their favorite causes.

Those gifts of giving are expected to make a difference in the lives of others.

"People come here to choose the organizations they like and they make the donation in honor of a loved one or a co-worker, a friends, versus going and buying them another object to fill their house with," says Melissa Swann, committee member.

The church has hosted more object-based markets in the past, but this time around -- it was all about paying it forward.
