Spay Arkansas is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing an opportunity for folks to have their pets altered at a reasonable price.
In just two and a half years, they've averaged 38 animals a day, and while they've been able to spay or neuter 10,000 pets, they're also helping fight a much bigger problem.
"We're talking in excess of 100,000 additional animals that would have come into the shelter system here in Springdale, Fayetteville, NWA and we think that preventing the births of 100,000 animals certainly is something to shout about." says Romanie Kobil, business manager.
Sunday's event was not a fundraiser.
Spay Arkansas is proud of hitting this milestone, so the event just a party to thank volunteers, the community -- and all of their supporters.
