Argument Over Who Sleeps On The Couch Leads to Stabbing

A Washington county woman is now facing a battery charge.
SPRINGDALE, AR -- Police say an argument over who was sleeping on the couch led to a stabbing.

Regina Durant, 48, is in the Washington County Jail facing a battery charge. According to her arrest report, Durant told police she was lying on the couch when the victim started kicking her and yelling at her, saying she could not sleep on the couch.

Witnesses told investigators they then saw Durant stab the victim in the knee with a small pocket knife. The victim was taken to Northwest Medical Center. Before being booked into jail, Durant was taken to the emergency room complaining of injuries, but the medical staff did not notice any.
