BENTONVILLE, AR-- Bells are ringing this Thanksgiving, as the Benton County Sheriff's Office chimes in to help the Northwest Arkansas community.
Now is the time when The Salvation Army needs extra support. During the holidays there is an influx of families searching for food and shelter.
Volunteer bell ringers help raise money for less fortunate families throughout the holiday season and this year, Benton County deputies are stepping in to show support.
Benton County Sheriff, Kelley Cradduck, says "Times are tough for everyone so what we're trying to do is bring some attention to this much needed service that helps people who cannot help themselves."
Deputies will be ringing bells through the end of the holiday season.
