The estimated total for damage throughout the county is $4,946,221.
The total comes from damage compiled from more than 200 sites in the county.
Damage to roads and bridges accounts for a majority of the damage at $4,479,380.
The rest can be broken down as follows: Emergency Protective Measures, $250,000.00; Water Control Facilities, $20,500.00; Utilities, $82,341.00; and Parks or Recreation, $114,000.00.
The assessment serves as a request that will allow for possible state and federal disaster assistance for the county, cities in Benton County, and individuals who were affected by the flooding.
The disaster declaration process now moves on to the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management which will work with FEMA to determine exactly what types of assistance for which the county qualifies.
