FORT SMITH, AR -- Police say the body of an elderly man who had gone missing in November was found near Central Christan Church in Fort Smith.

Police don't believe there was any foul play.  They found a wallet with the man, identifying him as Merlin John Boyd, 76, who was reported missing from his home on November 10th.  Boyd is said to have been a diabetic and in the early stages of Alzheimer’s.

The body was discovered by church workers by a tree at the base of a small hill, and found the body of what appeared to be an elderly black male. Police say the condition of the body gave evidence that the elderly male had been there quite some time.
