Braylon Mitchell gets to Meet President Clinton

Description: Hog linebacker Braylon Mitchell was selected to be at the Greers Ferry Dam on Thursday
HEBER SPRINGS, AR - President Bill Clinton addressed an Arkansas crowd in almost the same spot where fifty years ago, another president dedicated the completion of a project.

Clinton headlined the anniversary dedication ceremony of the Greers Ferry Dam.  Also in attendance at the request of President Clinton is current Hog linebacker Braylon Mitchell who is from Heber Springs.  Mitchell got to attend the event and speak to President Clinton while missing class at the University of Arkansas on Thursday.

This marked the last public appearance of President John F. Kennedy before he was assassinated a month later in Dallas.

Thousands of folks -- young and old -- participated in this celebration at one of the country's most visited attractions.

"Because his life was claimed too soon, in death he became for the rest of us, a symbol of the eternal future. He became the symbol for always what to become and America would always be a country on the move," President Clinton said.

The dam is credited for raking in millions of dollars in tourism each year.
