NORTHWEST ARKANSAS-- Snow and ice are sending drivers spinning on roads in Northwest Arkansas.

Driver, Ben Johnson, said "I was hoping that there wasn't a vehicle behind me cause I didn't want to be hit."

Ben Johnson was on his way to work Sunday afternoon, but his plan quickly changed. he says he was going five miles per hour, when a slick spot left him in a slippery situation.

"I slid into the ditch. I was actually trying to get into the other lane because I wasn't certain how safe the lane was going to be", said Johnson.

Phones at Twin County Towing were ringing off the hook on Sunday. Owner, Yancey Price, says most cars just need a quick fix.

"Typically it's just a simple, put a wrench on the back of the vehicle, pull them out two or three feet and then let them get on the road. Generally they say they were stuck in a ditch, they were going too fast, they lost control", said Price.

Towing costs can set you back 100 bucks, but you'll have to cash in your change up front and if that isn't an option, it will cost you.

Price said, "That's when we impound the car and they have more charges. Typically in this area the storage facilities charge between 25 to 45 dollars per day.

As for Ben, he says it's a lesson--learned. "I'll stay home... i'm not going to drive after this", said Johnson.
