FACEBOOK'S TRENDING IS...TRENDING

Facebook launched a new feature Thursday called Trending. The new feature gives users quick access to hot topics that are gaining buzz across the social network. Officials say the product will help people find "the best content from all across Facebook." Trending will be available on the web in the US, the UK, Canada, India and Australia. It will also be tested on mobile devices.

BEST BUY LEAVES BAD TASTE

Best Buy delivered a lump of coal to investors. The retailer saying holiday sales fell nearly 1% due to intense discounting. Best Buy is also pointing to supply constraints for key products, significant declines in foot traffic and what it calls "a disappointing mobile phone market."

WHAT GOES UP...

The Dow fell 65 points Thursday after  two straight days of gains. The Nasdaq bumped up 4 points, and the S&P 500 fell 2.5 points.
