Vitamins Pointless?

A newly-published editorial about vitamins is getting a lot of attention.

The controversial piece, in this week's Annals of Internal Medicine, claims that dietary supplements and vitamins are a waste of money. The editorial, which is based on three studies, says taking supplements offers no benefit when it comes to preventing cardiovascular disease, cancer, or a second heart attack.

More than half of all adults in the United States take a multi-vitamin, making it a $12-billion-a-year business.

Stocks Rally

The Dow Jones bounced back big this Monday climbing 129 points.
The Nasdaq gained 28 points.
The S&P 500 jumped 11 points.
