The City of Fayetteville has a new Vice Mayor.
Tuesday night the city council unanimously voted alderman Mark Kinion to the position.
In the event the actual mayor can not attend an official function or is out of town, the vice mayor can then step in.
Kinion says mayor Lioneld Jordan has a strong record of always being present and he won't likely have to do that any time soon.
Still, Kinion says it is a privilege to have the confidence of the council and to be elected.
