There will be no trash collection on Monday, December 9th or on Tuesday, December 10th. Depending on road conditions trash collection may be canceled for the entire week. Normal pick up is expected to resume on Monday, December 16th

Due to the extreme ice and poor road conditions the City of Fayetteville Solid Waste and Recycling Division has suspended all solid waste, (Trash, Recycling and Yard Waste) Residential collections. The Solid Waste Division services will be delayed one day for the full week of December 9th.services are currently scheduled to resume with a one day delay from your normally schedule day of service. (Example Normal residential Monday service will be collected on Tuesday, Normal Tuesday residential service will be collected on Wednesday, Normal Wednesday residential service will be collected on Thursday and Normal Thursday residential service will be collected on Friday).
All waste services have been delayed by one day. Regular schedules will resume next week.

Customers to put 4 bags of house hold trash out next to their can on their next trash day. So if you were not picked up this past Friday through Wednesday place your extra trash outside your container on the curb.
As far as Bulk pickup we will finish the Tuesday bulk pickup tomorrow and will resume the Wednesday bulk pickup tomorrow and will have trucks on that route till it is all picked up through this weekend. The bulk truck will only be picking up bulk and not extra trash so please refrain from trying to mix your household trash with your bulk items. They have to be disposed of separately and will cause a problem upon disposal.
Next weeks bulk day is Thursday the 19th which covers the Thursday trash route. We will be out to pick up your bulk item on its normally scheduled day.
Leaf pickup will resume on Saturday Dec. 14th. If you are on a Wednesday trash route please have your bags of leaves at the curb by 7am on Saturday and we will get them picked up.
Next week’s leaf pickup will resume as scheduled and we will be out and about on Monday and will be servicing the Thursday route. So if your trash day is Thursday have your leaves at the curb on Monday morning and we will be by to pick them up.
The transfer Station will be open at its normal hours and we will also be open on Monday December 16th. We will be open that day to take any residents trash in case they do not want to wait or cant wait to put their bags at the curb.

Residential curb-side trash collection and recycling were shut down Monday day. According to their Facebook page: "City crews are making every effort to pick up curbside trash and recycling. It could be delayed but they will get to it when possible. Please be aware that collection could be late today and tomorrow."
