Consumer Minute: Best Return Policies, Regifting & Recall

It's time for your consumer minute!
Kiplinger.com cites stores with the most generous return policies. These faves have no "time limit" on "most" items.

Anthropologie, Bath and Body Works, Bloomingdale's, Costco, JC Penney, Kohl's, L.L. Bean, Macy's, and Nordstrom. REI and Zappos have a year-long limit. There are some exceptions - like electronics or furniture so make sure to read the fine print.

The number of Americans who are okay with regifting is on the rise.
73% of people say it's fine to regift or recycle a present, according to American Express. That's up from 71% from last year.

Still, only about a third cop to actually regifting. If you do, the Emily Post Institute has these tips:

The present should be in its original store packaging, and can't look like it's been opened or tested. You should re-wrap it, and be certain both the giver and the receiver won't find out.

A clipper cleaner is recalled because vapors can ignite. About 720-thousand cans of "Wahl total care aerosol cleaner" are being recalled, after reports of vapors from the propellant igniting upon contact with hair clippers.

The cleaner was sold in six ounce aerosol cans, model number 0-3-7-7-2... from June 2009 through October 2013.

It's used to clean and lubricate hair clippers, trimmers and shavers.
