American Red Cross in AR on Alert

LITTLE ROCK, AR -- In preparation of possible response to Arkansans in need of help after Thursday night's forecasts of severe weather, the American Red Cross in Arkansas has placed all seven of the state's emergency response units on alert.

LITTLE ROCK, AR -- In preparation of possible response to Arkansans in need of help after Thursday night's forecasts of severe weather, the American Red Cross in Arkansas has placed all seven of the state's emergency response units on alert.

American Red Cross State Disaster Director, Roger Elliot says, "We are in communication with the National Weather Service, as well as monitoring the severe weather moving our direction from Texas and Oklahoma." 

Two additional Red Cross emergency units and disaster teams are on alert from Tyler and Sherman, Texas. Arkansas' mobile units are located in Little Rock, Hot Springs, Pine Bluff, El Dorado, Jonesboro, Fort Smith and Rogers.
