Another Fake-Bearded Robbery, This Time in Springdale

SPRINGDALE -- Springdale police say a man in a fake beard robbed the Career Academy of Hair Design on Tuesday. This is the third time someone wearing this sort of disguise has help up a local business.
SPRINGDALE -- Springdale police say a man in a fake beard robbed the Career Academy of Hair Design on Tuesday. This is the third time someone wearing this sort of disguise has help up a local business.

According to report, the man was wearing the beard, a blue stocking cap, blue shirt and blue pants when he walked into the salon school at 346 E. Robinson. The person who called police said he demanded money and acted like he had a gun, but never showed a weapon.

The suspect was described aswhite male, 6'1" – 6'4" tall, 180lbs with sandy brown hair and brown or hazel eyes.

The suspect should be treated as armed and dangerous. Anyone with information regarding this Robbery is encouraged to contact the Springdale Police Department at 479-751-4542 or anonymously through SPD Tips at 479-750-4484.

Just Wednesday, Rogers police reported a similar robbery of a Murphy USA gas station and last week a man wearing a fake beard and camouflage hoodie held up a Dollar General, also in Rogers.  So far, police have not said they think these crimes are connected.
