A letter landed in the mailbox of many Arvest bank customers, including the ready-to-use replacement to prevent future fraud.
The letter also gives a date for when the customer's old debit card will be automatically deactivated.
Arvest officials explain that this was a precautionary measure in light of what's happened at Target:
"We were monitoring the (customer) accounts for several weeks and made the decision to reissue based on additional information released by Target."
