FAYETTEVILLE, AR -- This is a story that will make you smile, involving a police officer and a puppy.

A picture was posted Saturday on the Fayetteville Police Department Facebook page, showing an officer sitting next to a dog.

According to the post, officers found a little dog hiding under a car near the department and said the dog was very scared and appeared to be blind. Officers were able to coax him out from under the car and Corporal David Williams sat with the dog to keep him calm until Fayetteville Animal Services could respond.

With a perfect ending to a positive story, police said the owners of the pup were located and the little guy was reunited with his family. A lot of police work is just helping those in need, KNWA and Fox 24 would like to extend a big thank you to the Fayetteville Police officers for serving the people and pets of your city.
