NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR-- The great Creationism debate is hitting an Arkansas classroom once again.
NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR-- The great Creationism debate is hitting an Arkansas classroom once again. The American Civil Liberties Union, telling the North Little Rock School District this week to stop teaching Creationism in the classroom. In a warning issued on Monday, the ACLU referenced a middle school lesson it says violated part of the US constitution. The reason; the group says parents of students in the district had complained about the teacher's introduction of a three-day lesson on Creationism, saying it created doubt about evolution. The district responded with a statement of its own, saying in part, "District administrators have investigated and found that the inappropriate classroom treatment of creationism was an isolated incident. NLRSD administrators will receive additional training, during a staff meeting next week."
