Cycling Race Could Affect NWA Travel Plans

FAYETTEVILLE, AR-- Pro cyclists from around the world are in Northwest Arkansas through the weekend for the 37th annual Joe Martin Stage Race kicking off Thursday in Fayetteville.
FAYETTEVILLE, AR-- Pro-cyclists from around the world are in Northwest Arkansas through the weekend for the 37th annual Joe Martin Stage Race kicking off Thursday in Fayetteville.

More than 700 professional and amateur cyclists are taking part in day two of the four-day cycling event through Northwest Arkansas. The 110 mile long course will travel through more than a dozen cities before ending on Dickson Street. And it could affect your weekend travel plans.

On Sunday, major intersections downtown around East, Dickson, West, Spring and Church streets will be closed from about 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. For the full list of road closures for the entire weekend, click here.
