Girl Scout Cookies for a Cause in NWA

BETHEL HEIGHTS, AR-- Local Girl Scouts are doing their part to feed families in need in Northwest Arkansas.
BETHEL HEIGHTS, AR-- Local Girl Scouts are doing their part to feed families in need in Northwest Arkansas. Friday, several Girl Scouts donated 1,000 cases of cookies to the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank.

"The nice thing about this is, you know, we give out peanut butter and macaroni and cheese and different things like that, but something that's special like this allows families who don't get to buy Girl Scout cookies, it allows them the opportunity to have something, you know, a little special treat to have in their box," says Carrie Harlow, Office Manager for the NWA Food Bank.

With 12 boxes of cookies to each case, the food bank received 12,000 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies to give to families in need.
