BENTON COUNTY -- If you've got a tornado shelter - Benton County is asking you to register it so that they can find you quickly in the event of a tornado or damaging storm.

Fill out a form for the The Benton County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) storm shelter registry on the website. The storm shelter registry is for anyone who has installed a shelter in their home to provide information to emergency responders that will help them locate folks after a natural disaster. The registry is stored in the county's graphical information system (GIS) mapping system, further cutting down how how long it may take emergency personnel to find those who may be trapped or blocked by debris.

EMA says the information folks are asked for in the form is minimal - name, address, location of the shelter and contact phone number - and it takes just a few minutes to compete.  Fill one out here.
