After spending two years as a communications director on Capitol Hill, J.R. Davis came back home to KNWA.

While politics has always been a passion of his, J.R. will be the first to tell you that his heart is in broadcast news.

"I consider this job a privilege," said Davis. "The facts count. Simply put, viewers want a credible, unbiased news source they can depend on each and every day. As a journalist, I don't take that responsibility lightly."

This is J.R.'s second stint at KNWA. From 2008 - 2010 he was the station's political reporter as well as fill-in anchor. J.R. has interviewed a number of Arkansas political leaders during his time at KNWA, including former President Bill Clinton, and most recently Governor Mike Beebe.

As the co-anchor of KNWA Today, J.R. is excited about bringing the day's top stories into your home each and every morning.

"I can promise you one thing, starting your day off with us will be a lot of fun."

Along with his anchoring responsibilities, J.R. hosts a weekly segment called "Where in AR is JR" where he explores the unique people, places, and things all across the Natural State.

J.R. is a graduate of Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. When he's not on the desk or in the field, he's rooting on the Hogs, enjoying the state's great outdoors, and spending time with his wife, Donnally, his family and his friends.

If you have a story for J.R., send him an email at jdavis@knwa.com or follow him on Twitter @JR__Davis.

J.R. is also a contributor for Talk Business Arkansas.
