Justin is from West Fork Arkansas and serves in the United States Air Force. He is  stationed in Mountain Home Idaho where he has been since September 2013.

We Salute Austin Anderson!

The 19-year-old from Northwest Arkansas is currently serving in the United States Air Force.  He completed Basic Training on January 10,2014 and is currently completing Tech School Training in Biloxi Mississippi.

Austin's mom nominated him.  She writes, "Thank you for saluting our heroes."



We salute James R. Oden!

Chief Warrant Officer Oden was nominated by his daughter and is a 28-year veteran of the United States Army. He served in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. He was a decorated helicopter pilot, awarded many metals including the Purple Heart and Distinguished Flying Cross.

"I am very proud of my dad and would love Northwest Arkansas to know about him too!" writes his daughter Nancy.

Oden and his wife have lived in Rogers for 16 years and they are active in many local organizations including the Purple Heart Members who recently endorsed Rogers to become a Purple Heart City. He's also is an active member of the Vietnam Helicopter Pilot organization.

Nancy writes, "I am an Army brat who grew up in the Vietnam era when having your dad in the Army wasn't something to be proud of...but I still was and still am!"

We salute Jeffrey Campbell!

Jeffery served as a Senior Airman for the Air Force from 2003 through 2010 at Seymore Johnson, Fresno and Tulsa Airforce Bases.  He's from Rogers and lives in Pea Ridge with his wife.  We're proud to say Jeff works right here at KNWA and Fox News Edge as our morning shows director!

We salute Robert Eual Hunton!

He was born June 2, 1921 and will be 93 years old this year.  He joined the United States Army in 1942 and after completing basic training, married his now-wife, Stella, at the Fayetteville Courthouse.

Eual served in the 96th infantry under General McAurthur for four years and awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star of Valor for his service.  Later he served three years in the Army Reserves.

Stella and Eual will celebrate their 71st wedding anniversary this month and still live in their home in Lincoln.

We salute Sergeant First Class Miguel A. Baltazar!

He's from Rogers and was nominated by his wife. Sergeant Baltazar enlisted in the Army on February 14th, 2003 and has served three tours of duty in Iraq and one tour in Afghanistan.

He is currently stationed at JBER in Anchorage, Alaska


We salute Norman Willm! Willm served in the U.S Navy during World War II as part of the Asia-Pacific fleet.

He signed up exactly 70 years ago on Friday while still in high school. Willm currently lives in Pea Ridge and his family says they are very proud of the service he gave for his country.


We salute Calton Yates!

Yates served as a Navy Gunners Mate on board the heavy cruiser USS Baltimore (CA 68) during WWII. Calton was nominated by Phil Yates who writes, "He saw action in most of the major battles in the Pacific. Calton lives in Fort Smith and is truly a member of the Greatest Generation."
