FAYETTEVILLE -- If you feel like you're packing on some extra holiday pounds, you're not the only one. Many people let fitness fall by the wayside during the holiday season, but trainers say there are ways to beat the creeping calories. If you feel the urge to splurge, make sure you stay active. There are several other things you can do at home too, like planking.
"Let's say it's a commercial break, so your challenge is you get off the couch, you get into a plank position, and you hold that plank position which is a great abdominal exercise," said Mark Myers, Fitness Training Director at FAC.
Myers also adds new year resolution goals will keep you going, but the key is to stick to them.
