YELL COUNTY, AR - A baby boy and his father, missing for the last five days, have been found dead, according to the Yell County Sheriff's Office.

Brian Floyd, 33, and son Harper, 10 months, had been missing since Thursday.

Yell Co. Sheriff Bill Gilkey told reporters that the child's body was found around 1:30 Tuesday afternoon and his father's body was found about an hour later. No other details about their deaths were immediately available. "It's not the outcome that we certainly had hoped for," Gilkey said. "At the end of it when it turns out like this it's emotional and difficult for everyone who was involved."

Earlier Tuesday afternoon an ambulance had been seen leaving the search area, followed by a tow truck removing Floyd's pickup truck from a remote area off Forest Service Rd. 18.

The search for the missing man and child had been concentrated in the area of Blue Mountain Lake in the Ouachita Mountains.

In other details of the case, Brooke Floyd, the wife of Brian and mother of Harper, had been found Friday afternoon with cuts and scrapes, in an area south of the Blue Mountain Lake.

By Sunday, she had been arrested and charged with Hindering Apprehension or Prosecution and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.

Sheriff Gilkey says Brooke Floyd had not been "cooperative" in the case until Monday, leading searchers to her husband's pickup truck.

She is expected to make her first court appearance this week.
